Tournament Series Scoring
How Scoring Works
Every match counts! Points are awarded based on how far you advance in each tournament. While winning a tournament is a golden ticket to the National Championship, consistent performance across the series is just as powerful.

| Semi-Finalist | 31 | Awarded to the top 4 competitors who made it to the penultimate round. |
| Round of 8 | 15 | Points for the quarter-finalists (top 8). |
| Round of 16 | 7 | Points for the top 16 competitors. |
| Round of 32 | 3 | Points for the top 32 competitors. |
| Round of 64 | 1 | Minimum points for everyone who competes in the tournament. |

Example Series Standings
Imagine an eight-player series. If one player (like Maddie R) wins multiple weeks, the remaining spots are decided by who has the most total points.

Key Rules
- Highest Round Wins: In a single tournament, you only receive points for the final round you reach (e.g., reaching the Semi-Finals earns you 31 points, not a sum of all previous rounds).
- Season Totals: Your points from every tournament in a series are added together. Consistency across the whole season is key!
- Ties: If there's a tie at the qualification cutoff, both players advance to the National Championship.
- Byes: In unbalanced brackets, points are always awarded based on the round you finish in, even if you had a free pass earlier.
What about Byes?
If a tournament has an odd number of players, some may get a "Bye" (a free pass to the next round). This is common and keeps the tournament moving smoothly. Points are still awarded based on where you end up.
